Welcome to all things Lama Kay C, things I’ve been doing throughout my life but that haven’t been shared much beyond the community of close friends and small Buddhist sanghas. Scrolling through this site, you just might find something that resonates with you or that you thoroughly enjoy.

The Listen With Lama Summer Series of virtual chats enters its 3rd session, featuring the teachings of Tibetan Meditation Master Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche.

Hosted by Lama Karma Chötso of the Open Awareness Buddhist Center in Miami, Florida. She focused for the first two sessions on YMR’s life through his New York Times bestselling books and award-winning documentaries.

Session #3 takes the investigation into what science has learned about his mind., Dr. Richie Davidson, renowned neuroscientist and founder of the Center for Healthy Minds at University of Wisconsin-Madison, will be our featured guest.

This is my personal website. For purposes of Instagram, Twitter, and this site I’m using Lama Kay C which works in two ways: it reflects the initials of my longer Tibetan /ordination name, Lama Karma Chötso, which is unpronounceable to many, plus it incorporates my given name, Kay. In this way the name is doing double duty.

While I’ve taught Tibetan Buddhism for decades now and am featured on the website of Open Awareness Buddhist Center (www.miamibuddhism.org ), this site is for sharing other aspects of my life, those that can be gleaned from the titles of the site pages: photography, music, poetry, prose. There’s more, of course, but these are a good start.

My hope is that you enjoy the site and possibly become inspired to foster all aspects of your own life and talents.
